This painting was done during my secondary school art lesson as part of an assignment. This time, we were challenged to create more interesting compositions and experiment with colour scheme. This work reflects the significance of my family (my parents) and my friends in my life. Studying in Singapore can be really stressful and tough. And like every other student, I find school life dull. However, it is the people around me who spur me on and shine light and add colour to the darkness, like little candles that light up a dark room, small but powerful.
