2019
For this project, we were tasked to find a collection of secondary images to create a bulletin board.
Stage 1: handmade image translation studies of an image from the bulletin board
Stage 2: color translation studies of parts of the bulletin board
Stage 3: create an ambitious handmade design based on the bulletin board

Bulletin Board Color Translations
Exploring color theory and using gouache as a medium, these studies were to be based on parts of the bulletin board that contain multiple images. The translation should visually unify the reference images on the board and create visual connections between multiple images.
As I look through my reference images, an interesting connection I found between the images was the relationship between the human form and geometry from architecture.

Bulletin Board Translation: Final Stage
For the final stage of this project, we were tasked to create an ambitious handmade design based on a “bulletin
board” of images. The final design should be considered a “translation” of the reference images on the bulletin board.

I expanded on my previous color study, making connections between the images through geometrical lines.
