52 Tales NOISE Singapore Mentorship Programme 2017 (https://bandofdoodlers.com/52tales)
The 9th of August is a special day for Singaporeans commemorating the nation’s independence with a spectacular outdoor parade. Rain is a common occurrence in the tropics, but strangely, Singapore has always been protected from the gloomy clouds on National Day. This work approaches the myth with a portrayal of Mother Nature at centre-stage, her bright rays overpowering darkness. She protects Singapore from the gloomy weather to make way for a joyful celebration, as she celebrate the occasion together with Singaporeans.

This work was displayed along Orchard Road together with works done by other local artists.

As part of the programme, we also had to plan and host our own community exhibition as a group.
My group, District 7, chose to do a nostalgic theme 'Temasek & Co.', featuring local childhood games and snacks. Our exhibition was hosted at Serangoon Public Library, in collaboration with students from Temasek Polytechnic.
