In 2023, I embarked on an internship at Kokrobitey Institute in Accra, Ghana. Kokrobitey Institute is a non-profit organization centered around design, education, and sustainability.

Guided by mentors, I worked on an independent research project focused on exploring local perspectives, heritage, and traditions surrounding water conservation. The project resulted in the creation of an illustrated book, in collaboration with phtogorapher Morris Frimpong. I conducted research through literature reviews as well as interviews with locals to gather their perspectives on the topic.
